Howdy! It’s been a long time since the last time i open this bloggy things

Finally i can sign in again. Since my dorm didn’t have any cost-free wifi and i have to make the monthly expenses pretty strict, so think i’ll just write a short post.

Last week was exhausting. Orentation; those process of making us official as new student. If you read some of my post before, you’ll find that i attending a one of public university in Jogja. Anxiety of losing family, friends, and other bunch of comfort attacked me at the first place. Start living on my own.I couldn’t imagine that i had to control my own money-spend, make up my own room, carry every responsibility on my own shoulder. Yes, i really was a too i-want-my-momma boy, so this was a nice shock theraphy.

Living apart of parents aren’t that bad though. instead, i just taste the real flavour of freedom. Surely you know what i mean.. the only bad thing i can remember is just i have to quarrel with some unwanted guests (read : ants) which always comes first before i get home and stealing my stocks of consumption.
I don’t know how long this freedom will last, probably will be replaced with a severe home-sick later. I just need to enjoy it right now.

IIMS 2010

IIMS (Indonesia International Motor Show) 2010 was held from 23th of July ’til 1st of August at Kemayoran.
Actually I finally made it through to go there at 25th if i’m not mistaken, but I really didn’t have a mood to post it here until now.
Hey, I can tell that this was the most happening car show in the town, probably in the country. Started with a mini show of antique cars from year 70′s-80′s, I can’t hold my camera any longer to break free.

play a bit with photoshop, those cars looks pretty antique, eh? pity me, I forgot to take a notes about the detail of those cars. they are ‘conserved’ by an organization called ………… (DAMN! i totally forget)

entering the main hall, i was impressed with the crowd and sparks from those fancy cars. but the first thing which attracted me the most is something, tickling me, which stands right beside me :

if you took a look on the photo above, what do you assume it as?
I hope you would see it as an insane driver who drive a jeep inside the hall, and trying to hit the people. If so, then, my trick was successful and you people are fooled by me!! (please, just pretend to be….)

I found it!

I love true blood since the first time i saw it on TV!
yes, i know that the series is most likely being watched by girls (just as twilight), but I I just love the ‘supernatural’ things inside it. The way sookie read other’s mind, the mysteries, and those pros and cons of social life that 180 degrees-ly changed because of the emergence of vampires.

One of my habit, probably the worst, is putting things anywhere without considering about the consequences. You can guessed what happened next; yep, I lost my lovely true blood dvds which I bought it myself for about 50k rupahs. I had been looking for it and observing almost every corner of the house but i just couldn’t seem to find any clues about it. I knew that my mom’s is a tidyness freak who would take everything which is not supposed to be there, and keep it in any place wherever she like, as long as it doesn’t distract her view of tidyness.
I had ever experienced this once. at that time I thought I put it on the TV in her rooms, and it was always there for a long time, but one day when i wanted to watch it, i saw nothing on it. And when i found it, you just couldn’t imagine how happy i was.
This time was different. I did it JUST THE SAME WAY with the first time i found it, but i got nothing. I have been searching for it for about a week. I tried to think out of the box by searching in any places which people would consider it impossible. Toilets, under the bed, and between stacks of old newspaper (If you were me, would you?). but still, I found nothing.

I was so optimistic by my wit at first, but ended by awfull pessimistic. I have tried almost every methodes. pray? yes I have. but nothing seemed to result something. I gave up, deffenselessly. I just felt very wasteful of my time by searching something that might not be found, grumbling, and blaming my mom deep inside my heart; judged that everything’s her fault.

I started to let go, and tried to forget about the ‘incident’ which made me stop watching true blood series forever, eventhough the 3rd season’s being aired on TV. I had lost so many episodes that i knew I would miss a big piece of it.

Just a few days ago, when i tried to clean up the mess in my room and the scraps from the school, I found 2 dvds between my subject books. the first one is kick ass, another one, suprisingly, true blood.. I didn’t know what to feel. I found it guilty instead of feeling happy. Since it was found in my room, so it must have been caused by my own sense of sloppyness.

I was ashame of myself, I tried to feeling unguilty by positioning others as the suspect of my own fault.

Maybe I’m overexposing things. dvds are just simple things. but when i thought about it again and again. This has become another valuable lesson of life that probably let to happen. for now on, (I hope) things wouldn’t go wrong by me, literally, LOL..

aftertaste : sorcerer’s apprentice

while I’m browsing about the movie sorcerer’s apprentice, I found this movie cover. Is this a kind of a remake?

Today, I & some of my pals supposed to watch inception, AGAIN…. fortunatelly, it was such a perfect timing that we found “sorcerer’s apprentice’ on the now showing list! it was a total coincidence, just like what nicolas cage said to the kid on the film (for those of you who have watched it). It’s not a very important scene, really, but it’s the beginning of all the main story. Meanwhile it was also the end of Balthazar Blake’s quest of finding the prime Melrinian (or the one who inherited the power of the legendary wizard, Merlin) which was discovered an 10-year-old ordinary boy named Dave Stutler. Shortly, balthazar gave the kid a ring, Merlin’s own, which was firstly considered as the source of the mythical power of him.
While Balthazar search on a magic book, Dave touched a layered doll with picture of a bearded man on it, and accidentally broke the first layer. Since each layer of the doll functioned as a seal of evil sorcerers, the first sorcerer was set free. It was Balthazar’s best friend, Horvath, who firstly betrayed Merlin and his apprentices. Horvath had a mission to destroy the last layer which sealed the power of marvelous yet diabolic sorcerer, Morgana, who tried to cast ‘the rising’; a spell which can resurrect all the deaths, and use them as a slave.
Then the days of preparing the prime merlinian to restrain morgana’s evil plan was started..

the first thing of this walt disney picture’s film which caught my attention was the main character, Balthazar, which played by hollywood star, Nicolas Cage. the others looks like fresh actor/actresses for me, such as Jay Baruchel (as Dave), Alfred Molina (as Horvath), and many more. I kind of like the way disney played with those effects of plasmas, fire, and all those transformation, from antique car to a fabulous sport cars and those steel eagles. The story was okay, but like any other disney movies, they mix all the humors, fantasy, and a bit action into one, and the ending was pretty much predictable. after all, it was entertaining enough for me

hadeh, pas pertama beli kamera sih niatnya ga beli yg lain2.. ternyata makin kesini tangan udah gatel pengen beli.. terbatas bgt sih kalo ga punya embel-embelnya..

today’s wish list :
1. tripod
rencananya sih plg pertama beli tripod dului, soalnya gw seneng foto landscape, jadi ini must-have item bgt.. incerannya sih excell ufo-260.. ini gambarnya:

(beuhh.. gagah bgt yak kliatannya?? ckck, dasar foto suka menipu)
kenapa ufo? soalnya udah bs macem2.. udah ada ball head, bs split kakinya, pokoknya fiturnya udah oke bgt deh.. dan harganya jg lbih oke lg.. cuma 470rb, padahal tripod merk lain dgn fitur yg kyk gitu mah pasti di atas 1 jt..
(-) jeleknya, katanya sih kalo sering2 dibawa ke pantai, trus kena air laut, bakal cepet kena korosi kakinya.. trus ballheadnya suka ga kuat gitu nahan beban kamera.. hmm, jadi pilih awet atau murah?
masi cari alternatif lain sih, Benro a150-ex yg harganya lbih mahal, tp katanya sih kualitasnya lbih oke

2. external flash
kalo yg ini pengennya sih yg murah2 aja.. paling yg budget 100-200rb lah @_@
(what sucks about sony, pilihan aksesorisnya dikit bgt.. trus mahal2 lg..)

3. filter macro/IR
ini sih yg ga terlalu urgent lah.. seru sih tapi kalo udah punya ini..

beuuuuhhhh akhirnya rasa penasaran gw akan sebuah #1 most awaited movie 2010 terbayar sudahh!
yep, INCEPTION! kmaren gw nntn filmnya di gading, premiere looh (bangga gitu? )
gw udah tertarik bgt buat nntn film ini sejak liat trailernya pertama kali di TV & baca” review orang di imdb.. ratingnya aja sampe 9,3 gitu..
salah satu quote dari review itu ada yg bikin gw penasaran bgt:

The only thing one could have against the movie, is the headache one could have.See, most of my friends go to the movies for brainless action, they enjoyed Iron Man 2 and The A-Team, but this movie-you have to see it at least twice, to understand it.The levels and the layers on which thing are happening are so many, that one surely’ll miss something vital.

hmm, se-rumit itukah nih film? sampe-sampe orang sono aja ga bisa sekali ngerti?
actually, it was! gw baru bisa bener” setuju sama review org itu.. emang nih film pinter banget.. dari ide cerita, ga semuanya dipaparkan scr detail dan dia bisa bikin orang terus berasumsi “sebenernya apaan sih yg terjadi?”; dan itu secara ga langsung bikin bnyk orang, termasuk gw, pengen ntn lagi biar ngerti 100% filmnya.. waaaaw
special effectnya juga kereeeeenn bgt lhoooo.. pokoknya perubahan setting (goncangan2, no-gravity) bs dibilang detail deh.. pas 1 scene dimana ada yg luka dlm keadaaan zero gravity, gw sempet liat ada gumpalan darah yg melayang”.. detail dah.. salut buat christopher nolan!

pokoknya I WANT MORE!!! (karena gw banyak yg ga ngerti.. wkakaka)

when did i get so into it?

bbrp postingan belakangan, gw bnyk ngepost soal hasil2 jepretan gw. dimulai dari jepretan” asal tapi menyenangkan, fotografi mulai gw masukin dlm list ‘things to do’ yg kudu banget gw pelajarin pas liburan ini dan kalo bs seterusnya sih..

nah kmaren ini gw baru dikasi tau kalo neummat (tmpt les fotografi gitu) lagi ngadain workshop basic photography gratis! (cina mode) dan gw sangat sangat berminat untuk ikut.. yaaah itung2 dapet pengalaman baru gitu..
sayangnya workshop yang paling cucok tanggalnya sm kalender kuliah gw cuma 1, yg di kemang jaksel.. padahal gw udah ngarep bgt bisa ikut workshop yg di SIS klapa gading yg brarti ga perlu ribet2 mikirin transport.. secara rumah di bekasi T_T
jujur gw sih blom pernah ke kemang seblomnya (katro ya?? whatever.. )

singkat cerita, gw ngajakin bnyk tmen2 gw yg juga minat di bidang ini.. niat lhoo, sampe bikin notes di fb + tag” in.. tp ujung-ujungnya pada ga jadi daftar.. alhasil, gw kesana sendiri, tanpa seorangpun menemani @_@.. sedihnya..

hari pertama gw kesana, ternyata kelasnya itu jauh di luar perkiraan. gw ngira kalo yg ngikut kelasnya itu banyakan anak” sekolah/kuliahan gitu (apalagi kan skrg kamera slr lg ‘in’ bgt), ternyata kebanyakan muridnya sudah pantas saya panggil om/tante ==”
pengajarnya sih pro kyknya.. dia orang dr femina & kyknya udah cukup terkenal sbgai seorang juru foto.. katanya sih dia udah keliling dunia gratis gara2 foto-foto.. ih waw bikin sirik
hari pertama sih masih yg dasar2 bgt.. hari kedua mulai diajarin teknik2 pake shutter speed aperture, dll..
ntar hari ke 4-5 kita bakalan hunting ke bunderan HI + sunda kelapa.. hmm sounds nice..
oke sgitu dulu aja.. ntar kalo hasil huntingnya udah keluar gw post lg deh.. hahahaha
